An employee serving as a Child Nutrition Rover will assist in a variety of semi-skilled food preparation and food service tasks. These tasks may include main dish cooking, baking, vegetable preparation, salad preparation, dish room service or other related assignments. All food is prepared by standardized recipes and in specific quantities and employees must be competent with reading recipes, calculating ingredients/portions and working quickly and independently on each task assigned. Candidates should be proficient with commercial food prep equipment or willing to learn quickly.
A high school diploma is required; food service certification is preferred.
Child Nutrition Rovers must be willing to work freely from one school to another within the districts assigned. Candidates must have dependable transportation.
